Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. Semi sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • Pinch of salt

  • 4 lg. eggs, separated

  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

  • Raspberry jam

  • Fresh raspberries

  • Baked pie shell


Award-Winning Chocolate Raspberry Pie Recipe Instructions:

  1. Melt chocolate chips, then add milk, sugar, and salt. Cook until mixture is smooth. Cool slightly.

  2. Add egg yolks, one at a time, blending well. Add vanilla.

  3. Add beaten egg whites, blending thoroughly.

  4. Pour about half the mixture into a baked pie shell. Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm.

  5. Spread a layer of raspberry jam over the chocolate, then pour the remaining chocolate over the raspberry jam.

  6. Refrigerate again until the chocolate is firm.

  7. Top with fresh raspberries.

  8. Refrigerate chocolate for at least 3 hours before serving.


Helpful hint: This is such an intensely chocolate dessert that you might want to consider serving slightly sweetened whipped cream along with it.
